Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

I don’t work directly with insurance, as functional lab testing and personalized root-cause care aren't typically covered under most plans. However, I believe everyone deserves access to this level of support, so I do offer payment plans to make services more accessible. If you have an HSA or FSA, you may also be able to use those funds, just check with your provider!

I also make sure to include clear pricing on my website for full transparency. I know from experience how frustrating it can be to deal with unclear billing or surprise costs when working with traditional healthcare and insurance, and I never want to replicate that experience here. My goal is to make functional health straight forward and supportive, so you feel aligned both energetically and financially before signing up. No pressure or confusion!

Where are you located?

Restore Functional Wellness is a virtual practice, so I work with individuals from all over, but I’m based in Marquette, Michigan. If you're local and prefer to meet in person, I'm happy to make that happen! I know sometimes there’s just something special about sitting down face-to-face. Lactation support, I come to you, meeting in the comfort of your own home.

Do you only work with women?

While I primarily work with women, especially those in the postpartum or preconception seasons, functional medicine can benefit men as well. In fact, I’ve had the privilege of supporting my husband through his autoimmune condition using the same root-cause, whole-body approach I use with clients. If you're wondering whether this kind of support is right for you or a loved one, feel free to reach out.

What kind of symptoms or conditions do you help with?

I work with a wide range of symptoms and root causes, including fatigue, hormone imbalances, gut issues, thyroid conditions, autoimmune dis-ease, brain fog, nutrient depletion and more. If you're not feeling like yourself and want to get to the why, you're in the right place.

Do you work with kids?

I primarily work with adults, but I do see children ages 3 and up. Functional medicine can offer valuable insights into what’s going on beneath the surface, especially for kids dealing with chronic symptoms, gut issues, behavior changes, or immune challenges. This approach can be a great complement to the care they’re already receiving from their pediatrician or primary care provider.

I’ve tried what feels like everything. How is this different?

If you’ve been down the Google rabbit hole and tried all the advice on social media, you’re not alone! Many people (including me) have felt the same way, until they finally got answers tailored to their body. With functional lab testing and one-on-one guidance, we skip the guesswork and focus on what your body actually needs. No more trial and error. Just a clear, personalized path forward.

How long do people usually work with you?

Most of my clients work with me for around 4–6 months. True healing takes time, especially when we’re working to rebalance the body at the root level, but you’ll have support the whole way. For those who prefer a more DIY approach, I also offer standalone functional lab testing with personalized recommendations. This can be a great starting point if you're looking for insight without a longer commitment. Just keep in mind that these sessions don’t include the same depth of support, ongoing guidance, or plan adjustments that come with a full coaching program.

What is an Integrative Health Practitioner?

An Integrative Health Practitioner looks at the body as a whole, exploring how things like stress, nutrition, hormones, digestion, and environment are all connected. I use functional lab testing and root-cause protocols to support healing, rather than just manage symptoms. Integrative Health Practitioners do not diagnose or treat disease, we work to uncover underlying imbalances and help rebalance the body naturally, so you can feel better, with real answers and a plan that makes sense.

What if my doctor said my blood work is normal?

This is so common. Standard labs often look for disease, not imbalance. Functional labs help us see what’s happening before things progress, so we can support your body now, not only later.
